OUR STORY

Tir na nÓg (pronounced teer-nuh-nog) is an ancient term from Irish mythology meaning “Land of Eternal Youth” or “Land of the Young.”

In legend, Tir na nÓg is a mystical realm across the sea — a place where time stands still, sorrow does not exist, and beauty, youth, and joy last forever. It’s often portrayed as a paradise where the natural world thrives in harmony, and the soul finds peace.

For many, Tir na nÓg symbolizes a deep connection to nature, renewal, timelessness, and the enduring spirit of community and storytelling.

Tir na nÓg Orchards is proud to grow fresh, seasonal Flathead cherries on the shores of Flathead Lake. Each harvest is rooted in care for the land, tradition, and flavor. We're also expanding into small-batch goods like jams, chocolates, and handmade confections — all created with the same attention and quality. In everything we do, we believe in supporting local — collaborating with Montana artisans to bring you products that reflect the heart of our community.

The Festival

Each summer, the season’s bounty is celebrated at the Tir na nÓg Cherry Festival in historic Virginia City, Montana. With cherry pies, auctions, food and vendors, music, and hometown hospitality, the festival is a joyful tribute to Montana’s land and people. All proceeds help support the Susanna Bogue Charitable Endowment Fund, a foundation dedicated to preserving the state’s culture, education, and creative future.
